Day 1: Keep the Forbidden City as the main event

What changes when you only have 1.5 days?
A full Great Wall day plus a shorter Forbidden City block can work when the palace reservation matches the available half-day and your hotel, luggage, and transport are already arranged.
Usable afternoon on arrival: Use the half-day for a focused palace visit only when airport or station arrival, luggage, hotel access, and the confirmed entry period leave a realistic margin. Keep the next full day for the Wall.
